Turkish Deputy Premier Pays a Visit
Deputy Premier Visits Our School
H.E. Mr. Bekir Bozdağ, Deputy
Prime Minister of the Republic of Turkey, paid a visit to our African Union
Branch on January 29, 2012. He was in Ethiopia in order to attend the
18th Ordinary Session of the Assembly of Heads of State and Government of the
African Union in Addis Ababa.
The Deputy Prime Minister was
accompanied by H.E. Mr. Kenan Uğur
İpek, Turkish Ambassador to Ethiopia, a group of Turkish delegates and
Turkish businessmen living in Ethiopia.
Deputy Premier and all other
distinguished guests were welcomed by the school administrators, teachers and
students. A cultural show comprised of songs, poems and examples of Turkish and
Ethiopian folk dances were presented to the visitors.
Finally, Deputy Prime Minister, H.E.
Mr. Bekir Bozdağ, expressed
his thoughts and feelings about the roles of the Turkish schools in Ethiopia
and how they act to boost the relations between two countries by building new
bridges and introducing new ways. He added that he was quite happy to see such
a modern school equipped with the high-end technology classes having smart
boards as well.
