The 2nd Ethiopian Mathematics Olympiads, EMATO, was held on
Saturday, April 07, 2012 with the participation of 80 schools and 240 students
at our African Union and Alemgana Branches in Addis Ababa.
Students tried their best to prove their Mathematics knowledge and surely
deserved to get a big variety of prizes. Not only students were given prizes, but their
teachers and schools were presented different prizes in the Olympiads.
While students were solving the professionally prepared Mathematics problems
in classes, NETIS administrators presented a briefing about our educational
activities and social responsibility projects. After the presentation, guests had a chance to visit classes equipped with high-end technology materials and
other school facilities.
An award ceremony was organized to present the prizes on Tuesday, April
10, 2012 at African Union Branch. Schools representatives, parents and students
were invited to the award ceremony.
Mathematics has an equal importance for all grade levels and streams and
our schools do their best to encourage educators and students to force their
capacity to improve the level of Mathematics knowledge.
NETIS organize Ethiopian Mathematics Olympiads annually and we expect
more participants next year in EMATO 2013.
